Hey, this is day 13 after my rhinoplasty operation. The scars are continuing to reduce, and their visibility is still very low. It’s very positive. The swelling has come down a bit, although there still is some swelling to be noticed especially around the tip. The nose bridge swelling has reduced here, which is nice though it still is tender to touch. Other than that, my breathing is good.
I had some small irritations in the nose where I think it’s become a little bit dry, some of the remaining scabs. I’m still having the occasional scab pus. And this is aided by the saline sprays, which are helping to reduce the irritation and help the whole flow.
Other than that I’ve noticed that while taping, the nose is smaller, and it’s only when I remove the tape, and then it really does balloon for a few moments. Obviously it is smaller when taped because it’s compressed but I feel that when I remove the tape, this actually causes the swelling to come back quite quickly, and then it settles back down again after an hour, or two. But the differences are small but noticeable to myself because I’m obviously analyzing it in a very close amount.
So, yeah, the recovery is going okay, and just continue for the next couple of days, and see how the swelling plays out.
